Polymath Society

All the people on this page had one thing in common: they were voracious, lifelong learners. They built their own interdisciplinary education - and that's what gave them real judgment.

Polymath Society is a program and community designed to help you think independently and build agency. We do this by learning voraciously like them, and by building real products and seeing how reality pushes back. During the 3 month cohort we will study the best sources that startup founders in San Francisco recommend, and we will build projects and write in public.

Each week is a simple loop:

  • Judgment training: Read the best ideas from books in a particular space (psychology, strategy, sales, future of technology, choosing what to work on).
  • Projects + public artifacts: ship real work (essays, products, experiments) with writeups that show how you think.

By the end of the program, you will have shipped a real project - whether that's a product, a business, or something you can sell - built on everything you learned during the cohort.

You will also be left with a quantitative, hard polymath report that can serve as a detailed look into your working style for any employer you choose - we intend for this to be high signal information for any future employer you work with, especially if they find your projects intriguing.

Polymath

Our philosophy

I went through the traditional path too (IIT Bombay, then Columbia). It helped, but the thing that actually formed my judgment was self-education: books, obsession, and building until reality pushed back.

Polymath Society is my attempt to make that path more accessible and more rigorous: we study work that has survived time, and we treat ideas as tools, not trivia.

We're not here for motivation. We're here to build a mind that compounds.
